Dementia Forum X Japan
Dementia Forum X is going truly global!
Dementia is one of the toughest challenges today. More than 47 million people are affected by dementia, a syndrome caused by physical changes in the brain that severely affects memory and other mental abilities. This number is expected to double by 2030 and reach beyond 130 million people by 2050. Dementia does not only affect the patients, their families and caregivers, but it also has a huge economic impact. The estimated cost of dementia is now over 1 billion dollars yearly, a figure that increases every day.
Dementia Forum X is a global initiative to take action on dementia. It is a day of reflections and discussions between a hundred of the world’s leading business executives, policymakers and other stakeholders. Under the patronage of HM Queen Silvia of Sweden, the biennial meeting in Stockholm gathers key stakeholders from different fields.
